Pediatric Cardiology Erasmus IP From Sound to Ultrasound
What are the obligations of students?

Students wishing to participate, must contact their Institution for applications, and sign a participation form, once selected for attending the course. Failure to attend the course by students that have confirmed their participation will result among others in substantial logistic problems for the Coordinator, inability to cover any expenses for the student, and possibly to the complete withhold of the IP budget from the national coordinator (IKY).

Students are asked to obtain a European Health Insurance Card from their Home University. A valid health insurance, covering travel emergencies is strongly recommended, as the cost of any health related problems is not covered by the coordinator. Students should make necessary arrangements before their arrival. Students should check their immunization status, and should be fully immunized according to their national immunization guidelines for students.

Course attendance is mandatory, students will be signing for every session they participate and their active participation is expected in all of the 10 teaching days. Each teaching day (Monday-Friday), includes a morning and evening session, of at least 6 teaching hours total duration. Teaching will be based on active participation of students (interactive) though the course. Additional, relevant teaching material, which will summarize the lectures, will be provided. Enough time will be provided for coffee and lunch breaks.

Although there is not a formal dressing code suggested, we would like to ask our students that their dressing and behaviour reflects their respect to their partner students and teachers, having different cultural backgrounds.

We cannot guarantee for exclusively vegetarian meals, we will aim for this, but strict vegetarians might have to make their own arrangements.

Final exams at the end of the IP will document the student's knowledge obtained through the course and students are expected to fill anonymized questionnaires evaluating the quality and usefulness of the IP course at its end.

Students have to pay special attention in keeping their boarding passes, having proofs of their ticket cost, and having a bank account on their name for the reimbursement of their travel expenses.
